Email 10.21.2021 - Vaccine Mandate Update and Thank you

Despite the hectic pace and fast-changing landscape of our work during this 19-months-and-counting pandemic, it's important to take time to pause, reflect and say "thank you" for your commitment.
This week is a perfect time for that. I'm glad to report that LCSNW's deadline for full COVID-19 vaccination came and went with a minimum of staff disruption. No employees were notified that they were losing their jobs. As of Oct. 18, all had received their vaccinations (or were in the last steps of doing so), secured an accommodation, or chose to move on to other opportunities.
Ensuring compliance with the governors' vaccine mandates required high degree of collaboration from everyone across the agency. The same is true as we keep following health and safety practices--such as attestation when entering offices, social distancing and wearing face coverings.
From where I stand, this week provides a preview of Thanksgiving, five weeks early. I'm grateful for your professionalism and for the sacrifices you make every day to deliver Health, Justice and Hope across the Pacific Northwest.
